When we were faced with a similar challenge, we had no idea why this feature wasn’t working. Upon talking to a few users, or experts, I understood that there could be two possible reasons why one may not be seeing their friend’s solar system on Snapchat.

1. It’s disabled by default:
Snapchat’s Solar System feature is now turned off by default, even for Snapchat+ subscribers. This change was made due to concerns about its impact on friendships.

2. Your friend hasn’t enabled it:
Even if they are a Snapchat+ subscriber, your friend might not have manually enabled the Solar System feature.

3. Temporary glitches:
In rare cases, there might be temporary bugs with the feature preventing it from displaying correctly.

Here’s what you can try:

• Check if you have it enabled yourself: You might not have Solar System turned on for your account. Go to your profile picture in Snapchat > Tap “Snapchat+” (if subscribed) > Toggle on “Solar System” if it’s off.
• Ask your friend to enable it: They can follow the same steps mentioned above to activate the Solar System feature on their end.
• Wait and see: If it seems like a temporary glitch, wait a while and check again later. Sometimes restarting the app or your phone can help resolve minor issues.

Here are some things you can’t do: Unfortunately, there’s no way to force your friend to enable their Solar System. (Period.)
