Nice article. Nowadays, I only use that legendary Hakko equipment – Chinese re-production Yihua 936. With a special 3.2mm soldering tip from a ELFA catalog (82-422-81) its a top equipment. I never went back to the Weller station any longer. If you dont know what ever happened to the Marantz 10 pre-production serie FM tuner and why its so super rare – or why 10B came then ? I had a too similar problems with a Weller soldering station. Magnetic field ! One problem with that was it saturated coils – mostly IF ! Not a nice case at all.
